The Communications Coordinator supports the promotion of key events and festivals in the ByWard Market District, from Winterlude to the ByWard Barket. This role focuses on drafting and coordinating signage, maintaining web content, and managing written communications with partners and businesses. The successful candidate will bring strong writing skills, design awareness, and strategic thinking to ensure a consistent and engaging public experience across all seasonal programming.

As a Night Ambassador, you serve as a visible and welcoming presence in the ByWard Market District on Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The role focuses on public safety, community connection, and information sharing. Working in pairs, you conduct wellness checks, assist vulnerable individuals, de-escalate conflict, and help visitors navigate the area. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Training and uniform provided.
